What Are Educational Foundations?

They are non-profit Foundations that are created to supplement a Public School Districts Budget. There are over 5,000 school foundations in 16,000 districts in the U.S. New Jersey has about 80 foundations.

Why Does North Caldwell Need One?

It is hard to believe that we do. The Foundation’s fundraising efforts will be able to provide our educators with alternative funding methods to acquire what they need to enhance our children’s curriculum. Every year the school budget gets tighter. We receive fewer funds from the state & can raise less money in taxes because of legal restrictions imposed by the government.

We are at risk of losing our instrumental music program. We are at risk of maintaining our small classroom size. We are at risk of keeping courtesy busing. We have very limited after school arts programs. Our geography materials are outdated. We need to raise these funds as a community so that our schools remain excellent & our community retains its value.

Mission of the North Caldwell Foundation for Education
To raise permanent charitable funding to supplement our district’s annual budget. These funds will be used for programs, teaching tools & resources beyond those provided under the budget.
