Both organizations are committed to helping our children & our schools. Both utilize volunteers & have fundraising efforts.
The main difference is that the Foundation is creating a permanent Endowment that will grow through investments & provide the School District with supplementary funding to the budget shortfalls in perpetuity. Another strong difference is that the Foundation is made up of the entire North Caldwell community, not just parents of school-aged children. Any resident of North Caldwell is a potential contributor to The NCFE.
The Foundation hopes to have many successful partnerships with our PTO & includes a position on our Board of Advisors for a PTO member. NCFE greatly supports our PTO, their activities and all of their efforts.
