Welcome to the Gould School, North Caldwell, New Jersey website, “The
Home of the Gators.” We are an intermediate-level school in the
northwestern part of Essex County with an enrollment of approximately
260 students in grades 4-6. Our average class size is 22.
A typical day for the children includes instruction in reading/language
arts, math, science, social studies, and writing. In addition, each
day, the children receive instruction for forty minutes in either
physical education, vocal music, art, technology, or library skills.

School Goals
Objective 1: By June 2007, a minimum of 95% of students in grades 4-6 will demonstrate the use of grade appropriate strategies to solve open-ended mathematical problems.
Objective 2: By June 2007, 95% of students in grades 4-6 will demonstrate the use of grade appropriate test taking strategies to respond to multiple choice and open-ended questions.
