2010-2011 Board Goals

Continue to improve "non-traditional" methods of communication by taking advantage of the (evolving) technological tools available to the Board of Education (website, emails, etc.)
Remain financially prudent within a constricting budgetary environment. To that end, we will prioritize and align administrative and community goals. A survey will be prepared for completion by the community.
Work to rank in the top half of all J-Districts in terms of student achievement as measured by N.J. ASK. Specifically, at the grade level, increase the number of students scoring within the advanced proficient range in Language Arts and Mathematics. At the individual level, we want to ensure that all students are reaching or exceeding their projected growth indicators as measured by MAP.
Improve delivery of our Special Education and enrichment programs. WIth regard to Special Education, Dr. Freda will attend grade level meetings to ensure that student IEP's are accurately and appropriately translated to the teachers. With regard to enrichment, all electives are to be revisited to ensure maximum impact on student interest and achievement.
